UK early morning TV broadcaster, GMTV introduced a new feature for 2006. Lively entertainer, Keith Chegwin, took his roadshow to factories and offices, to liven up their day during the grey winter mornings.
Employee, Steve Wright, invited him along & Synatel were one of the first businesses to be visited by the star. He was live 'on air' at 7.00am, 7.20am, 8.00am & 8.20am with a mix of chat, Cheggers-y jokes and games.

The Crew Bus Keith 'Cheggers' Chegwin arrived with the rest of his cheery crew at 5.45am, ready and eager to start the day. Once their satellite link was established, they were in constant communication with GMTV 'HQ' back in London and waited for the 7.00 am start signal to introduce Keith and Synatel to the usual 6million viewers they get every day.

The 'zaney' star performed his usual madcap antics with jokes, games and chat to the workers at Synatel. Members of staff had made a special jumping game 'Jump-o-Meter' where people competed against each other and a 10 second clock to see how many jumps they could do. Keith used this as his 'Boss versus the workers' game, where our Finance Director, Mr. V. K. Bahal competed against Melanie Chambers from the Despatch department. V.K. won with Mel being a close second.

Competition time off airVarious GMTV goodies were given out throughout the morning and Sales Engineer, Steve Wright even tried his hand at presententing, when he read the £10,000 quiz question live on air. Sales Manager, Andrew Titterton made a badge using a picture of Keith when he was just 12 years old and fitted it to a flashing LED. Keith proudly wore the badge hrough the morning, and we believe he may have even worn it on the next days transmission.

All members of staff arrived early for the show and some bought family members and friends, to increase the numbers. Between live segments, Keith signed autographs and mingled with workers and visitors for a friendly chat.

A cheery farewell
Live 'on-air' segments were seen at 7.00am, 7.20am (approx) & 8.20am (approx).
After having a hot breakfast with everyone from Synatel, Keith and the GMTV crew left at around 9.25am for their next destination in Devon.

(Company empolyee, Steve Wright had filled in a form on the GMTV website, requesting the visit from Keith Chegwin. Out of 000's of requests Synatel was one of the lucky companies to be chosen for a visit.).
