  It was the decade of the Space Hopper, the Ford Cortina, Raleigh Chopper bikes, the record player and cassette recorder.

The British general elections
: January 18, gave the Conservative Party a 30-seat majority in the House of Commons.
Prime Minister Harold Wilson was turned out after more than 5 years of Labour Party government, and a new cabinet took office with Conservative Edward (Richard George) Heath, 53, as prime minister.

Boxing: February 16- Joe Frazier becomes world Heavyweight champion by knocking out Jimmy Ellis in five rounds at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Rugby League World Cup was held in Great Britain in 1970.
Britain won all three of their group stage games. The final was held at Headingley, Leeds. Although Great Britain dominated the possession. The Australians were able to exploit their chances, and ran out unexpected. (7-12)

As well as new products, existing units have evolved through a natural design cycle. From the early days of the NDP1 level probe to the Synalevel self contained version. Then developing further into the Digiset and evolving into todays world beating Digimatic Level Control with ‘power-shield technology’, allowing the unit to compensate for material build-up.

Synatel products have also adapted to meet current certification requirements (eg: ATEX/CSA/IECex etc.).

Latest design criteria is for power saving devices and GPRS/Radio communication links, an area where Synatel has a vast amount of experience.
